Organisation:
F-IRE Collective has been incorporated in 2004 as a Company limited by shares
Board members are
Chairman: Peter Slavid
Secretary: Stéphanie Knibbe
Artistic Directors: Barak Schmool, Nick Ramm, Jonny Phillips, Jonathan Bratoeff
The label has been created under another name and is a different company: F-IRE Recorded Music Ltd

Administrative Staff:
All members participate to the life and development of the collective at different levels
There are not administrative staff employed by the Company, all members, including the board members are working on a < voluntary basis

Technical buildings, means, material park (amplifiers, instruments, fly-boxes...):
The F-IRE Collective has been hosted by the Music Department of City University (in kind support) for the last 3 years

Organisation:
There are 3 degrees of association to F-IRE
1. Associate
2. Member
3. Core Member
The distinction between 2 and 3 is an internal one, not one to be made public

1. Associate
This is the minimum level. F-IRE acknowledges this person’s contribution to the F-IRE Community by listing their name on the website under the Associate section. It is a mark of respect given to people whose work with us we wish to give particular recognition to

2. Member
A Member would:
• Promote their activities as part of F-IRE where appropriate and convenient
• Talk about F-IRE to the press where appropriate and convenient
• Pay a nominal fee (£1/year)
• Keep personal/band/gig info up to date on web
• Contribute to maling list where appropriate and convenient
In return F-IRE will:
• Publicise their professional activities
• offer them opportunites where appropriate
• Give access to the F-IRE’s deal with Proper Music Distribution, for releasing CDs
• A member does not need to be at meetings or be a member of the company
This level of association allows all to keep involved, without any obligation beyond what they can manage. Members can choose to become “core members” at any time

3 “Core Member”
This level is for those that choose to be more involved in the running of F-IRE
A Core Member:
• is a member of the company
• is expected to attend meetings where possible
• has a say in artistic policies, membership rules
• can vote at these meetings
• can be involved in collective press, pr, hustling, networks
• can be involved in the organisation and policy of a ‘large ensemble’ in the F-IRE name
• is expected to give active support to F-IRE organisation where appropriate
• to be first choice for F-IRE programmed events where appropriate
• will benefit from funding applications made on F-IRE’s behalf

F-IRE Board:
The Board exists to undertake activities on behalf of the members. It helps co-ordinate and initiate collective activities and as a limited company it also has the ability to make contractual and commercial commitments on their behalf. Barak Schmool has an additional specific role to ensure the integrity of the collective vision and of the F-IRE brand

Financing in 2008:
State: pending. Application in progress for Big Band Tour and European showcase support
In 2007 subsidies for Brand Development
Production percentage, edition: 10% on the F-IRE activities are retained for the collective on events generating over £50 per musician involved
